1. Prospect score changes not aligning with activities
– Prospect’s overall score increases while individual activities show a score of 0
2. Reasons for prospect score adjustments in Pardot
– Score changes can occur when a prospect submits a form, opens an email, clicks a tracked link, etc.
– How the score change is recorded depends on how the admin set it up
3. Score changes from prospect actions vs. score changes applied through automation
– Changes from prospect actions follow the baseline scoring model of the account
– Automation can adjust prospect scores, but these changes will not appear in the activities section
4. The Golden Rule: Automation-based score changes are not prospect activities
– These changes are applied by an admin and are not actions taken by the prospect
– Example: Prospect clicked on a custom redirect, but the +10 score change was applied through a completion action set on the redirect
5. Viewing score change details
– Clicking on the hyperlinked overall score reveals the types of assets (emails, forms, etc.) that caused the score change
– If in doubt, check the hyperlinked score for more information.
