???? Get ready to dive into the exciting new features coming with Salesforce’s Winter ’24 Release! In this video, I’ll be taking a closer look at the latest enhancements related to Sharing in Salesforce, including the ability to gain deep insights into Account access, view Public Group memberships, and optimize sharing recalculations …

Here are highlights from article Salesforce Winter 24 Release | Sharing Related Enhancements – Technical Potpourri from Sudipta Deb

1. Enabling faster account sharing recalculation:
– Open the Quick Find box from Setup.
– Type Release Updates and choose Release Updates.
– Click Apply Update to enable faster account sharing recalculation.
– This update eliminates the storage of cases, opportunity, and contact implicit child shares.

2. Availability of the release update:
– In production organizations and sandboxes where Salesforce has already enabled this behavior, the release update is not visible.
– Fresh production organizations and scratch organizations formed in Summer ’23 or later cannot see the upgrade.

3. Impact on account owners:
– Depending on the org’s role hierarchy configuration, account owners may be able to access contacts and cases held by frequent users of Experience Cloud sites.
– The upgrade removes the retrieval of implicit child case and contact share records by SOQL queries or Apex tests.
