Here are highlights from article Salesforce Data Cloud-Triggered Flow: A Quick Guide | Salesforce Ben
1. Data Cloud-Triggered Flow:
– Salesforce Flow can now be powered by dynamic data from Data Cloud.
– Flows are triggered by changes in data and can automate 1.2 trillion tasks per month.
– Data Cloud-Triggered Flows launch when the conditions of a Data Cloud data model object (DMO) or a calculated insight object (CIO) are met.
2. Data Cloud data model object (DMO):
– DMOs are similar to Salesforce objects and provide a canonical data model with pre-defined attributes.
– Data Cloud architecture consists of Data Source, Data Stream, Data Source Object, Data Lake Object, and Data Model Object. DMOs are part of this architecture.
3. Calculated insight object (CIO):
– CIOs perform calculations on data to produce metrics at the profile, segment, and population levels.
– CIOs can manipulate incoming streaming data in near real-time.
4. Data Space:
– A logical partition in Data Cloud used to organize data for profile unification, insights, and marketing.
– Data Spaces allow users to categorize and work on data in specific contexts, such as brand, region, or department.
5. Data Cloud-Triggered Flow Example:
– An example use case is assessing the performance of products on a website in terms of customer purchasing and browsing behavior.
– A Data Cloud-Triggered Flow can be activated when a threshold, such as low inventory, is reached.
– Data Cloud architecture enables rapid automation with dynamic data.
