1. Primary Key vs. Foreign Key
– Primary key distinguishes rows of data in a data set from one another (e.g. Salesforce record ID).
– Foreign key connects data between two unique tables or sources (e.g. OrderID connecting customer record and order details dataset).

2. Data Ingestion
– SDKs: Kits for developers to set up integrations faster (e.g. Interactions SDK, Engagement Mobile SDK).
– Connectors: Pre-built integrations connecting Salesforce products to Data Cloud.
– Ingestion API: Option for developers to build integrations from scratch for data sources not covered by SDKs or connectors.

3. Data Streams
– Datasets enter Data Cloud as data streams, continually pumped according to defined frequency.
– Real-time data streams update data immediately.
– Batched data streams update data on a set frequency (e.g. hourly, daily).

4. Data Source Object, Data Lake Object, and Data Model Object
– Objects in the Salesforce data model that work together to capture and work with ingested data.
– Data Source Object: Represents the source or origin of the data.
– Data Lake Object: Contains raw, unprocessed data from various sources.
– Data Model Object: Represents the processed and transformed data ready for use.

5. Activating Perfected Segments
– After data is ingested, processed, and transformed, it can be used to create segments.
– Segments are subsets of data that meet specific criteria or conditions.
– Activating segments allows for targeted marketing campaigns or personalized communication.
